The Mcglots - Ready for the Party

"Ah, finally!" sighed Mrs. Mcglots, sliding thankfully into her favourite armchair. "We're ready for your party, Diana Anna."
"Yup! And tomorrow's the big day!" Diana Anna Mcglots was in ecstasy.
"Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit!" croaked G., smiling widely. G. was the only person in the house who wasn't completely pooffed.

The house was spotless, the party food made and festooned and the house – the house was filled to the tiptop with beautiful and imaginative decorations. Like Diana Anna had said, tomorrow was the big day, the day of Diana Anna Mcglots' party.

"So, you're finally done?" asked Mr. Mcglots, raising his eyebrows. "No more running around screaming about burnt cupcakes, dirty shelves and lost decorations?"
Mr. Mcglots was completely fed up with all this silly party business. Mango, sitting on the biggest armchair in the lounge, looked at the two party-planners with stern but hopeful eyes. He was really very sad to have to take no notice of Mrs. Mcglots and Diana.
"Yes, honey, no more running around. But, I don't think I ever really screamed." Mrs. Mcglots replied.
"Yes you did, all the time," insisted Mr. Mcglots.
"Yeah, Mum, you really did," agreed Diana Anna, shaking her head.
Mrs. Mcglots shot her a nasty look before saying indignantly, "Well, if I did, you certainly did, Diana Anna."
"Yup, you both were quite crazy, to say the least."
Neither Diana Anna nor Mrs. Mcglots much liked the compliment.

"Well, who did you invite, Diana Anna? You did give an invitation to Sarah Slitenly, right?" asked Mrs. Mcglots.
"What? I didn't invite anyone. You were the one who handed out the invitations."
"My goodness honey, why would I hand out invitations? It is your party, your friends. I don't know any of them."
"You mean you didn't hand out the invitations?"
"No!"
"But –but, then no one gave out invitations? We don't have anyone coming to my party!"
"Ahhhhh!!!!" Mrs. Mcglots and Diana Anna shrieked in union.
"Ah-ha." said Mr. Mcglots, shaking a finger at them both, "I said you both were screaming."
